Knopfler Surrounded

Stumbled upon a great post from Knopfler musical associate, Guy Fletcher, with some great gear shots. Amps above from left to right are: Carr, Ampeg Reverbrocket, Tone King Metropolitan, Lazy J, Divided by 13, Gretsch 6161, Fender twin ’58, Fender Princeton TV ’55, Tone King Imperial, Gibson EH150, Fender Bassman ’59, Fender Concert, Fender Super Reverb. Should be able to get a few tones out of those I think!

Mark Knopfler “Brothers in Arms”

Knopfler playing Brothers in Arms at Montserrat in ‘97.  The classic Knopfler touch and the ‘59 Les Paul doesn’t hurt either. The outro solo from about 5:37 is superb.

Mark Knopfler “Telegraph Road”

I’ve been prompted to show some Knopfler love by some submissions by Pazza.  This track is Telegraph Road from a performance in Reggio Calabria, Italy, 2005. The basic recipe is: Knopfler’s golden fingers + Komet amps + Pensa Suhr. The great man could fill this site up all by himself.
