Say the word ‘Dumble’ and a million internet forum based guitar players wet their pants and start discussing Robben Ford, Zendrive pedals, the Ethos Overdrive, Two Rock amps and John Mayer. They then proceed to upload their ‘Politician’ clips to vouch for their Dumble-ness and multiple flame wars descend from every direction. For all the hype though its worth checking out this clip to be reminded of what all the fuss is about. Great sound.
Melbourne guitar shop, 555 Music Co, put this Steelcaster Deluxe in the hands of Lee Morgan. Lee knows how to put it to good use!
Straight From the horses mouth on the hallowed pages of TGP comes further news on a potential release date for the new Klon:
“…the new unit will be produced, according to my specifications and detailed instructions, by a contract manufacturing firm that specializes in the production of guitar pedals; I am now waiting to receive from them pre-production prototypes so I can verify that they have gotten all of the important and also unimportant details right.” Right now I expect to be receiving these prototypes in maybe three weeks or so, and around that time – ASSUMING EVERYTHING IS UP TO MY STANDARDS WITH THE PROTOTYPES – they will let me know when the first production run will be scheduled and when I can expect to receive those production units. The run, by the way, will result in a large number of units, so no one who wants one should be worried that they might miss out if they hear I’m accepting orders a few days later than everyone else…
…I will be listening to each and every one of the new production units…to make sure, before boxing it up and shipping it, that it is up to my standards.
Regards,
Bill Finnegan

I was lucky enough to pick this mint condition early 2000′s Tokai LS75 from a very friendly AGGH forum member. Basically a killer Les Paul Goldtop clone for $700 spondoolies. The pickups are P90′s by Australian pickup wizard, Mick Brierly. Took it out for rehearsals over the weekend and it was perfectly grouchy sounding. Makes a great sidekick to the Tokai ES130 I raved about earlier.
Incredible to watch this and consider the magical instruments being built (and what they’d be worth now!).
Greg V with a Grosh Electrajet direct into a Swart Atomic Space Tone. One hell of a demo video. I’ll take both.
I’m a big fan of everything I see about Creston Guitars. There is a purity about what he does. He tries to deliver only what is required and nothing more, and forces the customer to embrace these beautiful constraints. There is a tight relationship between the art and the craft…anyways, I’m gushing.
This is a great little tour through the shop. I am imagining my own Creston right now…
