Really handy photos of vintage Fender colors prepared by pickup guru Curtis Novak. Great for deciding on colors for your next project or purchase.

Robben Ford playing the track Riley B. King. Great Hendrixy rhythm chops and a super tasty solo (as per norm). I love his spanky Tele tone.
Its Friday night and I feel like listening to The Rolling Stones. Here is Honky Tonk Woman live in Brazil on February 18, 2006. Keith Richards’ solo is pretty hack-worthy … but the vibe is great and it looks like it was a helluva party.
Happy birthday to the late, great Jimi Hendrix for yesterday (27/11/1942). I’m always late with birthdays. Anyway – its a great excuse to sit back and be blown away by this great performance of Machine Gun again. We miss you Jimi.
Mr Vincent has just tweeted this great clip of Jeff Beck performing Drown in My Own Tears on Later with Jools Holland. Great clip!
Pete asks: “Where does Mr Jeff Beck rate on your list of tasty choppers?”
He’s right up there. I’ve already posted a few Beck related things and I expect he’ll be a regular around these parts. Beck has unequaled touch and control. A little waggle of the tremolo, working the volume control, left hand vibrato, hovering on the edge of feedback, harmonics … he does it all and makes his Strat sing like no other.
For recent examples of what Beck is capable of the Live at Ronnie Scott’s DVD is required viewing. Phenomenal playing by Beck and not to mention young Aussie, Tal Wilkenfold, who almost steals the show on Bass.
Be sure to send me any great Beck clips you find.
